The agreement
Terms of service
What we agree to do, what we ask of you, and what happens if something goes wrong. Written to be read rather than to be impressive.

Who you are dealing with
SiteParamedic is a service provided by SwansonX LLC, a limited liability company registered in Minnesota under file number 1663839400022 and based in Brainerd, Minnesota. It is a small company and there is no account manager: you are dealing directly with the person who does the work. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean that company, and “you” means the person or business buying the work.
You can reach us at sean@swansonx.com or (218) 818-1023. For a formal notice in writing, our registered address is 202 N Cedar Ave STE #1, Owatonna, MN 55060, United States. That is our registered agent rather than a public premises: the work is done from a home office in Brainerd, Minnesota, and there is nowhere to visit.
What we agree to do
We agree to carry out the specific work described in the quote we send you, for the price in that quote. The quote is the definition of the job. Anything not written in it is not included.
Before starting any work that changes your site, we take a complete backup of the site and its database and keep it somewhere other than your hosting. We keep that backup for 90 days after the job closes.
Quotes and prices
- Prices published on this site are the prices we charge. Fixed-price work does not change once you have accepted the quote.
- Where a price is shown as a starting figure, the final number is confirmed in writing before any work begins, and does not move afterwards.
- If we find work outside the agreed quote, we stop and tell you. You decide whether to go ahead. That work is charged at $95 an hour.
- A quote is valid for 30 days from the date we send it.
Payment
Fixed-price repairs are paid in full before the work starts. Rebuilds are paid 50% to start and 50% on handover. Card payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
Care plans are billed monthly in advance from the date you start, and continue until you cancel.
Cancelling and refunds
You can cancel a care plan at any time. It runs to the end of the month you have already paid for and then stops. We do not charge a notice period and we do not refund part-months.
For one-off work:
- If we cannot complete the job, you get a full refund. That includes the case where we start and find the problem is not one we can fix.
- If you cancel before work has started, you get a full refund.
- If you cancel once work is under way, you pay only for the work done to that point, itemised, and the rest is refunded.
- Nothing here removes rights you have under Minnesota or federal consumer law.
Minnesota gives a three day right to cancel on some consumer purchases. It is aimed at goods and services bought for personal or household use after a seller approaches you, so it does not usually reach a business buying a website repair through this site. Either way, the refund terms above give you more than that right would.
What we need from you
- Access to whatever the job needs: the site, the hosting, or the domain. We will tell you exactly what is required and why.
- Confirmation that you are entitled to authorise work on the site. If someone else owns the domain or hosting, we may need their agreement too.
- Answers to questions that block the work. Where we are waiting on you, the agreed dates move by the same amount.
- Any content you want used, in a usable form. We will tidy up wording, but we do not write your content from nothing unless the quote says so.
Who owns what
You own your domain name, your content and, once the work is paid for in full, the site we build or repair for you. We register and configure things in your name, in accounts you control. We do not hold your site hostage, and nothing we do requires you to keep working with us.
Where a site uses third-party software, fonts or photographs, those remain under their own licences, and we will tell you what those are.
The free diagnosis
The diagnostic report is provided free and without obligation. It is based on what a visitor to your site can see from the outside at the moment we run it. It is not a security audit, and a clean report does not mean a site cannot have problems we could not see from outside.
By submitting an address you confirm you own that site or are authorised to have it checked.
Limits on our liability
We are responsible for doing the work with reasonable care and skill. Some limits apply to what we can be held liable for, and they are set out here in plain terms rather than buried in a wall of capitals.
What we are always responsible for. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for our own intentional, willful or wanton misconduct, for fraud, or for anything Minnesota or federal law does not permit us to limit. Those cannot be contracted away, and we are not trying to.
Putting things back. If we damage your site while working on it, including through our own negligence, we restore it from the backup we took before starting, at our cost and as a priority. That obligation is not capped by the paragraph below.
Where liability is capped. Apart from restoring your site and the matters above, our total liability to you for any claim connected with a piece of work, including a claim arising out of our own negligence, is limited to the amount you paid us for that piece of work.
What we are not liable for. Indirect or consequential losses: lost profits, lost business, lost data beyond what the backup restores, or the value of anyone else’s time. We are also not liable for problems caused by your hosting company, your domain registrar, third-party software, or changes made by someone else after we hand the work over.
Time limit. Any claim under these terms must be brought within the period Minnesota law allows for a claim on a written contract.
Getting hold of us
You will hear back from a person within 24 hours, including weekends. If we cannot take the job on, we will say so and tell you what we would do instead.
Email sean@swansonx.com, or call (218) 818-1023.
Tax
Our prices do not include sales tax. Minnesota charges sales tax only on a specific list of services, and website repair, development and maintenance are not on that list, so no sales tax is added to the work we quote.
If part of a job ever is taxable, for example prewritten software bought on your behalf, the tax appears as its own line on the quote and the invoice. It is never folded into a price.
Which law applies
These terms are governed by the law of the State of Minnesota, and the courts of Minnesota have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your job is the one published when you accepted the quote, and we will send you a copy with the quote so there is no ambiguity later.
